By accessing or using TrustDPV ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
TrustDPV provides a portable trust profile platform that allows users to create, verify, and share their online credibility through trust scores, verified platform connections, endorsements, and badges. The Service is operated by TrustDPV and is accessible at trustdpv.com.
3. Account Registration
To use the Service, you must register an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information during registration
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorised access to your account
- Be at least 16 years of age
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
4. Trust Scores & Verification
Trust scores are calculated automatically based on verified actions and evidence. TrustDPV reserves the right to:
- Recalculate trust scores based on updated algorithms or evidence
- Remove trust points associated with revoked or fraudulent verifications
- Update scoring criteria as the platform evolves
Trust scores are provided as an informational indicator and should not be considered a guarantee of any individual's character, reliability, or trustworthiness.
5. Platform Connections
When you connect a third-party platform (such as GitHub or Google) to your TrustDPV account:
- You grant us limited access to verify your identity on that platform
- We use OAuth or link-back verification — we never request or store your third-party passwords
- Access tokens are used solely for verification and are not stored beyond the verification process
- You may disconnect any platform at any time from your dashboard
6. User Conduct
You agree not to:
- Attempt to manipulate, inflate, or falsify trust scores or verifications
- Create multiple accounts to endorse yourself or circumvent restrictions
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Impersonate another person or entity
- Harvest or collect information about other users without consent
- Attempt to disrupt or compromise the Service's infrastructure
7. Endorsements
Endorsements represent personal vouches between users. Endorsements are subjective opinions and do not constitute verified facts. TrustDPV is not liable for the accuracy or implications of any endorsement.
8. Intellectual Property
The TrustDPV name, logo, design, and software are the intellectual property of TrustDPV. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without prior written consent. Users retain ownership of content they provide to the Service.
9. Data & Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, TrustDPV shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. This includes, but is not limited to, damages for loss of data, reputation, or profits.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through the dashboard. Upon termination, your profile and associated data will be removed.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of material changes.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
